On 30th April 2024 , Mr.G.Sukumaran Nair , A retired Senior Lecturer, from Ministry of Textiles, GOI, from IIHT Salem & Jodhpur and a Handloom Scientist is sharing his vast knowledge and experience to KTMEA’s First Batch students of Merchandiser on why A Merchandiser should have the Technical knowledge of Textile .

Our students are very fortunate to have his interaction on different subjects related to weaving, dyeing, surface ornamentations and printing techniques etc. He was heading R& D department in IIHT Salem.

He has also taken time to explain various fabrics of handlooms in different states of India.

He had made very good contribution to the Handloom Industry . Invented the LoomCot, Nano Hand weaving machine, Spool Sizing machine & Spool Warping Machine for the Government of Kerala .
